Video Catches Hospital 'Dumping' Incident

"For many months, Los Angeles city officials have complained that regional hospitals are dropping off their indigent patients in the city's tough Skid Row area. On Wednesday, officials at a homeless shelter released a videotape that allegedly catches one hospital in the act."

This is so unfortunate and disconcerting and it seems that human beings are being treated as animals, or should I say worst than animals without hesitation. I would think that hospital officials would have a heart for the homeless population, but obviously they don't! Where is the heart of Americans? Do they have a heart?

I also do not think that it is a good idea to place homeless individuals on the street, but where are we supposed to place individuals who do not have a home? They cannot stay at the hospital forever.

Here at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, the psychiatric social workers find placement for their patients. I am not sure if the rest of the hospital's social workers do this type of thing for their patients, but if they don't, they certainly should!
